Job Summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a highly skilled Claims Adjuster - Property and Casualty to join our team. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for evaluating property and casualty claims, conducting loss investigations, and negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate property and casualty claims through loss investigation and negotiation of settlements
  • Conduct interviews with claimants and witnesses to gather information
  • Obtain and review official documents to support claims
  • Determine liability and make offers to claimants
  • Issue cheques and dispose of salvage
  • Pursue subrogation and maintain accurate records
  • Present evidence at legal proceedings and maintain accurate billing and time records

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an insurance environment
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field is an asset
  • Licensed or working towards CIP designation
  • Experience in road adjusting, including investigation and reporting of property and casualty claims
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactAnalysis
  • Computer and reporting skills, including Office 365
  • Bilingual in French is considered an asset
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment
