About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Sales Engineer to join our team at Charter Telecom. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in the high-level design and specification of network solutions, working closely with our sales organization to identify and qualify sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify network solutions that meet the needs of our customers, leveraging your technical expertise and knowledge of industry trends.
- Work collaboratively with our sales team to develop long-term sales strategies and build customized business approaches in targeted accounts.
- Consult directly with customers to understand their business problems and design high-level technical solutions to remediate them.
- Engage with Technical Architects as needed to assist in detailed design prior to the completion of the sale.
- Present yourself as an expert to clients, showcasing the products and solutions of Charter Telecom and its manufacturing partners through a variety of means, including presentations, proposals, and proof of concepts.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of computing industry-related experience.
- Product experience in at least one of the following vendors: Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, or significant experience in one of their key competitors.
- Sales or Technical Sales Experience.
- Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent.
- Minimum CCNP, JNCP, VCP or similar vendor certification required.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of routing, switching, wireless, collaboration, and computing.
- Excellent organizational skills and highly detailed with proactive action-oriented mindset.
- Efficient problem-solving and analytical skills, and are solutions-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal communications (verbal and written) to technical and business personnel.
- Willingness to learn new systems and vendors, as needed.
Working Conditions:
- This opportunity is available to candidates in both Vancouver and Victoria.
- Minimal Overtime as required.
- Minimal Travel – Less than 10%.
