Physician - Locum Coverage

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and empathetic physician to provide locum coverage and deliver full-scope, trauma-informed medical care to a patient panel. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advocating for and building relationships with vulnerable populations, including seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care in-person, virtually, and through outreach.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, registered nurses, mental health clinicians, and social workers.
- Shadow bill for indirect and direct patient care.
- Attend clinic and provider rounds as scheduled.
- Assist with data collection and entry as directed.
- Complete organization-wide training as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Member in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- Appropriate medical liability insurance coverage.
- Affiliation with a Primary Care Network (PCN) or willingness to join a PCN.
- Special skill sets are encouraged and preferred.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations is an asset.
- EMR experience and the ability to use Netcare is required.
- Up-to-date CPR training is required.
- A satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal record clearance and a child welfare intervention check are required.
