Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Assist in planning and implementing programs that are culturally sensitive and cover healthy topics, ensuring the focus is on the well-being and development of the children.
  • Nutrition and Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for the children, promoting healthy eating habits and a positive relationship with food.
  • Child Health and Well-being: Ensure the health and well-being of the children, monitoring their physical and emotional needs, and providing support and guidance as required.
  • Activity Guidance and Support: Guide, demonstrate, and encourage children's activities throughout the day, promoting learning, creativity, and socialization.
  • Parent Communication and Support: Assist with any parent questions and concerns, referring them to the Daycare Supervisor as appropriate, and maintaining a professional and responsive relationship with parents and caregivers.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document observations on the children and complete any reports where required, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Team Collaboration and Improvement: Collaborate with the daycare team to develop and implement program improvements, ensuring a high-quality and responsive service to children and families.
  • Environment Maintenance: Assist with maintaining a clean and safe daycare environment, adhering to all daycare policies, rules, and guidelines for developmentally appropriate behavior.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Eligibility to Work and Reside in Canada: Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada.
  • Certified ECEA or ECE Program Enrollment: Certified ECEA (Early Childhood Educator Assistant-2 years' certification completed) or currently enrolled in the ECE program.
  • BC Child Care Licensing Regulations: Familiar with BC Child Care Licensing Regulations.
  • RCMP Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check: An RCMP clearance along with a Vulnerable Sector check.
  • Valid Driver's License and Access to a Vehicle: A valid driving license and access to a transportation vehicle.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: $45,000 to $48,000/year.
  • Location: Gold River, BC.
  • Shifts: Monday - Friday.
  • Job Type: Full-time.
