Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at IHAUL FREIGHT SYSTEM INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country. This is a physically demanding role that requires a high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country
  • Load and unload goods at designated locations
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
  • Operate and maintain the vehicle's equipment, including brakes, tires, and cold storage
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and report any issues to the maintenance team
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed
  • Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including hours of service and weight restrictions
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or A driver's license
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Experience with long-haul trucking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
