Senior Construction Manager Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Construction Manager to join our Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the success of our large-scale projects.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Proactively grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients.
- Develop and drive construction schedules to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Recommend innovative methods to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with our Quality Program.
- Select and coordinate trade partner activities.
- Apply financial management expertise to plan, manage, and respect project budgets and costs.
- Mentor and coach project team members to help them advance in their careers.
- Act as subject matter expert in risk management.
- Promote Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection on the project.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- 10-12+ years of experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- A University degree/diploma in Engineering or related field.
- A strong business acumen and knowledge of project management methodologies, financial management, Canadian building codes, and associated legislations.
- Experience in the construction industry with a strong knowledge of project methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislations.
- A proven track record of senior-level management and coaching/mentoring skills.
- A strong ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project, and technical issues.
- Previous experience with scheduling software.
