Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for training to be provided.
  • Authorize payments by cheque, ensuring that financial transactions are accurate and secure.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee payroll administration, ensuring that employee payments are accurate and secure.
  • Conduct performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to staff members.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
  • Permanent employment, working 32 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
