We are seeking an experienced Gameplay Animator to join our team at IFG - International Financial Group. This is a hybrid role based in Vancouver, BC, offering a competitive salary range of CAD 133,000 to 138,000 annually.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality animation assets that meet the project's animation quality bar. They will also provide support for pre-visualization animation when needed. Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing high-quality animation assets adhering to technical specifications
  • Collaborating with Engineers, Technical Animators, and Rigging Directors to define/refine animation tools and pipelines
  • Developing pre-visualization animation and collaborating with Designers and Technical Animators to prove out gameplay and design locomotion sets

To succeed in this role, you must have a passion for games, preferably AAA game franchises, and be current on the latest FPS/TPS titles. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience creating high-quality in-game animation assets, with expertise in keyframe and motion capture animation.

Requirements

The following skills and qualifications are essential for this position:

  • Technical understanding of animation tools, pipelines, and technical systems
  • Experience working with locomotion trees and state-flow animation systems
  • Proficiency in MotionBuilder and one or more 3D applications: Maya (preferred), Max, or Softimage
  • Rigging experience is a plus
