Job Opportunity: Mechanical Project Manager



We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader with strong project management skills and experience in mechanical building services.



About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities.



Key Responsibilities


  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation;
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk registers;
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations;
  • Perform site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and provide solutions;
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams through regular meetings, reports, and updates;
  • Collaborate with the contract administration team to ensure timely completion of all contract administration activities;
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications;
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and efficiency;


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:




  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in mechanical building services;
  • P.Eng. or senior C.E.T. designation (or equivalent experience);
  • Advanced knowledge of provincial building codes, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills;
  • LEED certification or experience implementing sustainable design (an asset);


Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
