Job Description
  • Location: Alberta, with travel required (about 20% overnight)
  • Position type: Full-time, permanent
  • Reports to: Director of Sales, Cornerstone Building Brands

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for daily operations and achieving all goals, targets, and expenses approved under the branch budget. The ideal candidate must have extensive product knowledge, as well as an understanding of all sales-related issues pertaining to their marketplace.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prospect new business on behalf of the branch in conjunction with Sales staff
  2. Track prospects through CRM, including Architects/Designers/Specifiers, General Contractors, Builders, Renovators, Dealers (Buy Group, Box Store, and Independent)
  3. Conduct sales/branch meetings as required
  4. Negotiate and close pricing on projects as well as pricing to various customers
  5. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customer base
  6. Understand the competitors' products and develop actions to assist Sales ensuring competitive advantage
  7. Monitor pricing and discounts to maximize opportunities
  8. Work with senior management and other departments towards the development of products and processes that will maximize future opportunities for the company as a whole
  9. Supervise, train, assist, and advise all inside and outside representatives
  10. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and termination of Sales staff
  11. Effectively manage Channel conflict in the best interest of the organization
  12. Monthly reporting on all location/region sales activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent – preferably in Business Management – an asset, but not required
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows as well as Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • 2-5 years of previous management or supervisory experience – preferably in the construction industry
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
