Job Title: Early Childhood Education Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Education Worker to join our team at Regina Eastview Daycare Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our childcare centre. This includes developing and implementing child-care programs, supervising staff and trainees, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including ordering supplies and equipment and preparing snacks and meals
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs and provide support with record-keeping and reporting
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and ability to establish guidelines for behaviour
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Working Conditions:
  • Work site environment: outdoors, noisy, non-smoking, air-conditioned
  • Work setting: child care centre, urban area
  • Transportation: own transportation required
