Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to join our team at Canada Bread - Bimbo.

Salary Range:

The salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per annum.

Responsibilities
  1. Purchasing:
    • Oversight of the procurement process, focusing on securing services that deliver the best value.
    • Development and implementation of procurement strategies, management of supplier relationships, optimization of supply chain operations, and adherence to company policies.
    • Creation of purchase orders for replacement materials and inventory items.
    • Prioritization and expediting of orders.
    • Management of logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  2. Managing Inventory:
    • Review of reports to ensure accuracy in ERP systems and physical inventory spot checks as required.
    • Monitoring stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations while supporting lean manufacturing principles.
    • Conducting regular audits to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Supporting annual inventory count and audit process.
    • Supporting RMA process, monitoring On-Hold inventories.
  3. Payroll Administration:
    • Oversight and management of payroll processes in accounting software (Kronos) and human resources systems.
    • Analysis of payroll data and implementation of best practices.
    • Leadership of end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in material coordination or logistics.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  3. Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and project management software.
