Key Responsibilities- Transportation and Delivery: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products to our clients.
- Customer Service: Provide professionalism in customer service, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and support.
- Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
- Merchandise Handling: Assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products, ensuring that they are delivered in excellent condition.
- Safety and Security: Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to all safety and security protocols.
- Logistics: Load and unload goods, using maps and other trip planning aids to ensure efficient delivery.
- Record Keeping: Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered.
- Payment and Reimbursement: Pay and receive payments for goods, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and secure.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring that all vehicles are in good working condition.
- Certifications and Licenses: Hold a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
- Transportation Experience: Possess local and provincial/territorial transportation experience.
- Vehicle and Equipment: Willing to travel for extended periods and possess a valid driver's licence.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, with overtime required at times.
- Physical Demands: Lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and wear steel-toed safety boots, gloves, and a uniform.
- Personal Qualities: Possess excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: Work a 40-hour week in a permanent full-time position.
- English Language: Work in the English language.
