About the Role

SUN STAR KITCHEN CABINETS LTD. is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: Ensure that you have a strong foundation in woodworking and cabinetmaking techniques.
  • Apprenticeship and Supervision: Instruct and mentor apprentices in the art of cabinetmaking, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
  • Design and Planning: Study plans, specifications, and drawings of articles to be made, ensuring that every piece meets our high standards.
  • Craftsmanship: Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, reinforcing joints and ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Finishing Touches: Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing and applying laminated plastics as needed.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Leadership: Supervise other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
