Senior Prosecutorial Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced prosecutor to join our team in Toronto. As an Assistant Crown Attorney, you will play a critical role in upholding the law and ensuring justice is served.
About the Role
This permanent position offers a challenging opportunity to work on a wide range of cases, from criminal and quasi-criminal offenses to complex and serious matters. You will be responsible for preparing cases, conducting prosecutions, and providing professional advice to police and other agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and conduct prosecutions in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice
- Provide expert advice to police and related agencies on criminal matters
- Review information, draft indictments, and other documents, including facta
- Assist other counsel with research and prosecution duties
- Administer the Crown Attorney's Office efficiently
Requirements
- Membership in good standing as a lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in conducting prosecutions, particularly in jury trials
- Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and criminal law procedures
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
