Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement care for critically ill patients, utilizing evidence-based practice and critical thinking skills.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including medication management, wound care, and pain management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, research, and technologies to provide best-in-class care.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Recent critical care experience.
- Critical Care Certificate preferred.
- Telemetry experience.
- Intravenous initiation and maintenance skills.
- Completion of Coronary Care 1 or equivalent.
- Patient Assessment skills.
- Familiarity with online documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong functional assessment, problem-solving, leadership, and teaching skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
