Job Summary

We are seeking a Commercial Underwriter to join our team. As a Commercial Underwriter, you will be responsible for providing title insurance policies to customers for their commercial real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review transactional information and documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Discuss problems with customers and underwrite defects
  • Issue title insurance policies and respond to customer inquiries
  • Provide superior customer service and maintain strong customer relationships

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as a real estate law clerk in a law firm working on real estate files from open to close
  • Professional and customer service-focused, with excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to pay attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Law Clerk designation preferred
  • Title insurance experience an asset
