About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff API Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and building platform APIs and customer-facing tools for data management. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of API and data management in our platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop platform APIs and customer-facing tools for data management, ensuring security, testability, maintainability, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's API and data management strategy, driving innovation and excellence in supply chain management.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of progressive enterprise software development experience, with a strong focus on API development and data management.
  • Deep understanding of data management and related tools and technologies, including data quality, governance, and API lifecycle management.
  • Disciplined approach to software testing, including unit testing and continuous integration.
  • Ability to work in *nix environments and in the cloud with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem (Helm, Argo, Hera, and Argo CD).
  • Good skills and experience with distributed computing architectures (e.g. Spark, Hive).
  • Some knowledge of Apache Beam, its supported execution runners, and sources and sinks.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g. data catalogs).
  • Experience working with major cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
  • Informed opinions about good practices in APIM and experience leveraging APIs for third-party integration; past work with developer portals would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with the supply chain management data domain.
