Job Summary
Vancity is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Operations to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Command Center team for continuous 24/7 monitoring, incident detection, response, and resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Command Center team for continuous 24/7 monitoring and incident response.
- Oversee Major Incident and Problem Management processes and conduct Root Cause Analysis reviews for continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement proactive monitoring tools and ensure timely response to alerts within SLA.
- Lead the Disaster Recovery team and collaborate with ITS team to ensure business continuity.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure and teams to address unresolved problems and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on network performance and incidents.
- Collaborate with the security and infrastructure teams for policy enforcement, capacity planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Experience with incident and problem management processes and tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with IT infrastructure teams, security teams, and other stakeholders.
