This dynamic role involves working as part of a collaborative team to provide mental health education and land-based learning experiences. The successful candidate will assist in developing resilience, building positive peer relationships, and connecting students with nature.
- Assist teachers and mental health facilitators in delivering program activities.
- Support student engagement and participation during both outdoor and mental health-focused learning sessions.
- Provide additional supervision and support during program activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Mental Health Support
- Provide learning opportunities on topics like stress management, self-care, and reducing mental health stigma.
- Offer informal check-ins and active listening to address youth concerns.
- Recognize and respond to mental health challenges, referring students to additional support when needed.
