About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned attorney to join our team as a Senior Legal Counsel in Toronto. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our North American region, providing strategic and tactical day-to-day legal advice to our Sales and Marketing teams.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive legal strategies to support business objectives across North America.
  2. Negotiate critical contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with McCain's strategic vision.
  3. Collaborate with senior leadership to manage risks associated with McCain's global business operations.
  4. Manage relationships with external counsel, ensuring quality legal work and selecting the right external support when necessary.
Requirements
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Ontario, Canada.
  • At least 7 years of broad legal experience, with a focus on corporate/commercial law and experience with marketing and advertising law.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful legal strategies.
