We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Technology and Operations team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-performing applications and driving business growth through innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Drive prioritization and successful completion of key projects in flight and plan/initiation of new projects for ledger product team.
- Accountable alongside the team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet Product owners needs and expectations.
- Motivate, coach and mentor teams through continuous improvement through agile best practices and NextGen technology strategy encouraging growth of key technology strategy (Cloud, re-use of APIs and code repositories, DevOps, Quality Engineering including Automation)
- Report team progress and accomplishment up and across. Facilitate status updates (including project financials and running concurrent Agile/IWF projects in a fast-paced work environment), product demos and retrospectives.
- Remove impediments to deliver outcomes and results through proactive management of external dependencies, critical thinking/problem solving, and development of new solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges.
- Oversee financials and staffing levels to efficiently meet project delivery requirements and tracks value for effective decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g., Vendors, RBC IT teams, Business team)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.
- Undergraduate degree coupled with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
- Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
- A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
