Job Description

The Manufacturing Supervisor will play a vital role in overseeing the workflow management of our production department, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely processing of client orders. As an Industrial Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to department employees, plan for production requirements, maintain production goals, implement manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives, and oversee departmental inventory levels.

This position requires strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing direction to the department to ensure execution of daily goals, allocation of resources, machine maintenance, collaboration with external production departments, and completion of work according to health and safety rules and company policies.
  • Supervising and coordinating workers engaged in assembling window frames, installing hardware, glazing, and operating welding machinery.
  • Reviewing production schedules to determine workload, manpower allocation, and material flow.
  • Coordinating with external departments to facilitate production goals.
  • Completing reports and associated documentation to review with management.
  • Handling escalations in a timely manner utilizing conflict resolution to define long-term positive solutions.
  • Analyzing current and established procedures and partnering with the Production Manager to implement cost-effective process improvements to promote productivity and department efficiencies.
  • Enforcing health and safety policies and procedures in daily work activities by monitoring work performed, conducting department health checks, delivering safety talks, monitoring first aid supplies, ensuring PPEs worn, and creating general safety awareness among employees.
  • Participating in production meetings providing department status reports, informing the team of critical events, and communicating efficiently with department supervisors and production leadership.
  • Ensuring equipment maintenance is completed in a timely manner to reduce downtime.
  • Auditing quality of output by identifying infractions, training employees, enforcing established standards, and designing long-term action plans.

  • A thorough understanding of Windows assembly and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Excel, and databases.
  • Time management and project prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
