Job Title: Sessional Instructor: Topics in Cognitive Science

OCAD University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Instructor to teach Topics in Cognitive Science in the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and teaching-related responsibilities, including course outline development, studio preparation and delivery, grading, mid-term evaluations, and final evaluations/reviews. The instructor will also be responsible for promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment for students, staff, and faculty.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Topics in Cognitive Science course
  • Develop and deliver course outlines, studio preparation, and lectures
  • Grade assignments and evaluations
  • Conduct mid-term and final evaluations
  • Promote a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment
Qualifications:
  • Terminal degree in art, design, or relevant discipline
  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment
Terms of Employment:

Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Sessional compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6,871.00 (per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
