We seek a highly skilled Oracle Utilities expert to validate the accuracy and quality of a large-scale implementation and upgrade of Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing (CCB) and Meter Data Management (MDM).

The role will be located in Edmonton, AB. You must be willing to work on-site a minimum of 3-4 days per week. If you are interested in the employee option, you must already be legally eligible to work in Canada, holding either permanent residency or full citizenship status.

  • Ensure software is delivered with the right quality and reduced risk.
  • Establish and engage employees, vendors, and contract resources to ensure test strategies are communicated and understood.
  • Provide leadership focusing on roles, process, tools, and automation.
  • Focus on improving the efficiency, velocity, and quality of testing processes and releases.
  • Execute, teach, train, and coach testing activities with different interfaces.
  • Perform general testing, including functional and automated testing, to release a stable application to production.
  • Conduct performance testing to ensure the solution is optimized for its expected load.
  • Develop a testing strategy to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts based on test cases identified for automation.
  • Outline manual testing procedures, including writing and executing functional, smoke, sanity, integration, regression, and UI testing.
  • Execute and analyze automated regression suites to ensure quality.
  • Initiate testing process improvement tasks to increase efficiency, reduce costs, simplify processes, and improve quality.
  • Create test planning and strategy documentation in accordance with testing scope and coverage.
  • Participate in production deployment and release meetings to ensure successful deployments.
  • Facilitate and coordinate user acceptance testing with business users.

Requirements include at least 8-10 years of experience in QA and/or test lead roles, with at least one significant CCB or MDM project under your belt, ideally in Oracle Utilities Customer Cloud Services (CCS). Experience working with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and implementing customer, metering, and billing solutions is mandatory. Certifications for Oracle Utilities CC&B &/or CCS are required.

Oracle CCB & MDM Specialist:
