About the Role:

SickKids Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-Op, Human Resources to join our team. As a member of the Human Resources team, you will assist in delivering a broad range of Human Resources activities while demonstrating a superior level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including preparing position profiles, posting jobs, creating engaging external advertisements, screening candidates, participating in the interview process, and conducting reference checks.
  • Maintain accurate HR records by updating candidate and recruitment information in the HRIS system.
  • Stay informed about employment trends by conducting research and sharing insights with the team to ensure recruitment processes align with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners by providing administrative support on special projects and assisting with various HR tasks as needed.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, schedules, and other administrative tasks for the Human Resources team.
  • Support the team on a variety of projects, including conducting best practice research, preparing visual and engaging reports, and supporting training initiatives.
  • Manage the volunteer inbox.
  • Perform additional office duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in a University degree or Community College diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent, which requires a co-op placement.
  • Previous Human Resources and/or administrative experience (preferred).
  • Intermediate/advance competency with various Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Ability to act with discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Able to constantly re-prioritize work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • A team player.
