Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our oncology team at Fraser Health. As an Oncology Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering chemotherapy treatments, and collaborating with interprofessional care teams to ensure seamless care coordination. You will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to research projects, and maintain current clinical competence through ongoing education and training.

Main Responsibilities:

Assessing patients and developing individualized care plans
Administering chemotherapy treatments and monitoring patient responses
Collaborating with interprofessional care teams to ensure seamless care coordination
Providing education and support to patients and families regarding cancer diagnosis, treatment, and self-care
Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to research projects

Requirements:

A degree in nursing from an approved institution and current practicing registration with the BCCNM are essential requirements for this role. BC Cancer Agency Chemotherapy Certification is also necessary. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
