Pump Repair Specialist

**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled Pump Repair Specialist to join our team in the Mississauga area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to work with a variety of equipment and provide top-notch repair services.
**Salary:** $30-$32 per hour, plus a premium of $300 per month for being on-call.
**Job Description:**
As a Pump Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing work to be done on equipment designated for repairs. You will identify which parts are required and how long repairs will take. You will prepare pump repair evaluation and submit it to the Service Supervisor. Additionally, you will fill out the required work order, including all parts that need to be replaced to execute the repair.
You will describe work executed in designated sections of the work order, review and sign when completed. You will also perform tests on various pieces of equipment and record the results in the relevant work orders. Furthermore, you will take care of inventory and parts control.
**Responsibilities Include:**
- Assessing work to be done on equipment designated for repairs
- Identifying which parts are required and how long repairs will take
- Preparing pump repair evaluation and submitting it to the Service Supervisor
- Filling out the required work order, including all parts that need to be replaced to execute the repair
- Description of work executed in designated sections of the work order, reviewing and signing when completed
- Performing tests on various pieces of equipment and recording the results in the relevant work orders
- Taking care of inventory and parts control
**Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of experience in pump repair, ideally
- A valid G-licence
- The ability to work with very finicky products
- The ability to work with oils (checking and maintaining levels)
- Experience with rotating equipment
- A strong sense of urgency
- Strong mechanical aptitudes, experience in disassembly and assembly of mechanical equipment with fine internal tolerances
- Experience in occasional external customer service repair
