  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement changes as necessary to ensure efficient, streamlined execution of required tasks, using business analytics to improve the quality of decisions and recommendations.
  • Prepare, communicate, and present plans, business cases, system analysis, and recommendations to internal and external groups regarding long-term transmission and storage operational plans, major system outages, new customer facilities or system facilities, and major changes in system operation.
  • Facilitate the connection of new TransGas customers to transmission and/or distribution system(s), ensuring natural gas services are available for their unique business requirements; this includes a focus on facilitating conversations, understanding their business processes, and presenting information to customers.
  • Present information to customers and create dialogue regarding determination of optimal solutions; acting as a customer advocate within SaskEnergy; updating customers so they understand facility costs, routing options, and timelines in order for all parties to make prudent business decisions.
  • Provide technical support (guidance, instruction, modeling) to Gas Control, Operations, Engineering, and customers regarding system capacity, operation, new facility solutions, and system optimization, as required.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, or Petroleum preferred).
  • Professional Engineer designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan.
  • Eight (8) years of engineering experience related to the planning, design, and construction of pipeline and facilities in the oil and gas industry.
