Hairstylist Job Description

Society Barbershop and Cafe is seeking a skilled Hairstylist to join our team. As a Hairstylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our clients, including cutting, trimming, and styling hair according to their preferences.

Responsibilities:
  • Book appointments and manage client schedules
  • Cut and trim hair using various techniques and tools
  • Shampoo and condition hair to ensure optimal health and appearance
  • Provide hair treatments, such as waving, straightening, and tinting
  • Suggest hair styles compatible with clients' physical features and preferences
  • Use various hair styling techniques, including blow drying, iron waving/curling, and spiking
  • Apply hair colouring techniques, including dyes/tints and streaking/highlights
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
  • Develop and maintain excellent interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the hair care industry
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
