Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paramedic to join our team in Slave Lake. As a Paramedic with AHS, you will be responsible for assessing emergency scenes and patients, providing medical care and transportation, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess emergency scenes and patients, providing medical care and transportation as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Operate ambulances or other modes of transportation, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of patients
  • Administer medications, advanced life support (ALS) airway adjuncts, and electrical therapy as needed
  • Lead ALS crews in delivering clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program
  • Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as an Advanced Care Paramedic
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits
  • Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (test taken no more than six (6) months prior to the application date)
