We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at GAV MGMT. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for creating accurate and timely quotes that meet the needs of our clients while being profitable to the business.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze architectural plans and specifications to determine the type and quantity of materials required for audio video installations.
- Establish take offs and material breakdown sheets to ensure accurate quotes.
- Formulate detailed quotes for project design material, including preparation of quote packages using company pricing, discounts, and estimating formulas.
- Process revisions and change orders as required, as well as new requests for tenders before the specified deadline.
- Verify feasibility of special conditions with various departments.
- Communicate with external and internal stakeholders via email or phone.
- Prepare and maintain documentation to support quotes.
- Recommend cost-effective and profitable quoting strategies.
- Collaborate with the Drafting Team on changes and adjustments to quotes and orders.
- Partner with the Project Management team on adjustments to quotes on awarded projects.
- One or more years of experience in the A/V field in an installation or field-engineering capacity.
- A post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Construction Estimator, or related field.
- One to three years of estimating experience.
- Proficient with estimating software, tools, and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
This is a hybrid home and office position with a regular 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work.
