Job Title: Ironworker

We are seeking an experienced Ironworker to join our team at Young Boy Drywall Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Job Summary:

The Ironworker will be responsible for erecting and installing scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms, as well as aligning, welding, or bolting units in place. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ironworking and be able to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
  • Align, weld, or bolt units in place
  • Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures
  • Unload and position steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in ironworking
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work at heights and handle heavy loads
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:

The Ironworker will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites and warehouses. The successful candidate will be required to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment.
