Job Description:

Eternal Tech Systems is seeking a skilled Server Operations Specialist to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our Public Sector client's support team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality server administration services in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Some of the key deliverables for this role include:

  • Ensuring adherence to existing Government of Alberta policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and practices.
  • Managing user accounts, including creations, maintenance, and deletions for access to network resources.
  • Maintaining Exchange email resources, such as mailboxes, distribution groups, and Global Address List updates.
  • Implementing and maintaining user security and folder permissions.
  • Providing ad-hoc reporting and managing security group membership to provide access to files and folders for network applications and shared data.
  • Performing file and folder moves, restructuring, and permission setting.
  • Responding to and resolving customer incidents/service requests related to Domain and Exchange administration.
  • Participating in project work as required.
  • Developing and modifying domain and exchange administration documentation, processes, and guidelines.
  • Assisting in Active Directory clean-up as necessary.
  • Migrating ministry-independent domains (user accounts, security groups, and data) to the GOA domain using Quest Migration Manager tools.
