Regional Prosecutor

We are seeking a skilled Regional Prosecutor to join our team in the North Region. As a Regional Prosecutor, you will be responsible for conducting prosecutions and performing related functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing legal analysis and advice on matters affecting the region
• Ensuring effective case management and Jordan timeline strategies are carried out
• Preparing correspondence and briefing notes on behalf of senior officials
• Responding to requests from the public
• Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with members of the organization and other participants in the justice system

Requirements:

• Membership in good standing as a lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario
• Valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's license
• Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, criminal law procedures, rules of evidence and case law
• Ability to use computer technology and its related software
• Ability and willingness to travel to various locations within the North Region and/or Province
