Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer Assistant to join our team at Rock N Timber Construction Inc.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately $45,000 per year, based on the national average for similar roles in construction. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a bonus structure and free parking available on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials as needed
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades under supervision
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt as required
  • Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs under guidance
  • Participating in demolition activities as part of a team
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials according to safety protocols
  • Removing rubble and other debris from construction sites safely and efficiently
Work Environment and Conditions

This role involves working outdoors in various environments, including docksides, urban areas, and rural locations. You will be exposed to different weather conditions and may need to work at heights. The job requires a high level of physical stamina and the ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have a basic understanding of construction practices and procedures. You will also need excellent teamwork and communication skills, as well as the ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary. Safety awareness and attention to detail are crucial in this position.

Experience and Education
