Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Guidewire Developer to join our team at Definity. As a key member of our development team, you will contribute to the future development of Guidewire, working closely with business subject matter experts and business analysts to design and develop solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, configure, and unit test Guidewire ClaimCenter enhancements and defects within an agile setting.
  • Debug and deploy plugins from predefined patterns, using Java methods or GOSU.
  • Transform messages by using mappings, designing and developing associated maps using XPath functions.
  • Provide production support for the platform, analyzing logs and identifying potential problems and defects.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality software designs and coding practices.
Requirements
  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming languages using Java technology.
  • 5+ years of Guidewire development experience in a mix of configuration and integration work.
  • 3+ years of Guidewire development experience in ClaimCenter.
  • Knowledge of common integration design patterns used by ClaimCenter.
  • Formal Guidewire configuration and/or integration training preferred in ClaimCenter.
  • Sound knowledge of writing mapping rules and other business logic in GOSU.
  • Experience configuring operational parameters such as roles/permissions, user attributes, regions, and so on.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for solving complex application, data, and infrastructure issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A self-starter with a "can-do" mentality, comfortable adapting to changing priorities and juggling concurrent activities.
