Job Profile:

The Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre is seeking a dedicated Urban Indigenous Community Liaison to connect with local Indigenous communities, ensuring that our programs meet their needs. This role requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships with community members, service providers, and internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain relationships with local Indigenous communities, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify gaps in services and develop strategies to address them.
- Collaborate with the Jordan's Principle team to ensure Indigenous children receive appropriate services.

Key Qualifications:

- College or university degree in Social Services or Human Services, with at least 5 years of experience in community development, working with Indigenous communities.
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of First Nations communities and culture, as well as the Urban/Rural Indigenous community.
