Job Title: Accounting Operations Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Manager to join our team at Triple J Canada Consulting Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, and providing guidance to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule work: Coordinate and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operation of the accounting department.
  • Train workers in duties and policies: Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Prepare and submit reports: Analyze financial data and prepare reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial transactions: Review and verify financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work: Coordinate and assign tasks to team members, and review their work to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies: Procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support the accounting department.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work: Coordinate maintenance and repair work for accounting equipment and software.
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Computer and technology knowledge: Automatic data processing (ADP), Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, Quick Books, Simply Accounting, Spreadsheet, Accounting software
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Large caseload
  • Personal suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Excellent written communication, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player
