Furniture Artisan

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Artisan to join our team at Precisionwerkz Canada Inc.

This is a permanent full-time position, with an estimated 30 to 40 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and some experience in this field.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components. They will also be tasked with shaping surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools like planes, chisels, or wood files.

• Operate complex woodworking machinery to produce high-quality woodwork products.
• Shape and finish wood surfaces using hand tools and techniques.
• Instruct apprentices on best practices and safety procedures.
• Study plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate production.
• Assemble and trim joints to create complete units.
• Sand and apply finishes to finished products.

• Cabinetmaker Trade Certification or equivalent.
• Joiner (Cabinetmaker) Trade Certification or equivalent.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Punctual and reliable with excellent communication skills.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary based on factors such as location and industry standards.
