We are seeking a skilled Private Banker to join our team at Scotiabank. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing new business strategies to attract and retain high net worth clients. This includes identifying high net worth prospects, developing acquisition strategies, growing relationships, and maintaining a sustainable prospect sales pipeline.
Responsibilities:The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing relationship banking and administrative support to a portfolio of complex clients. This will include working directly with retail credit adjudication or with wealth credit solutions for customized credit, negotiating standard bank terms, conditions, structuring fees, interest rates, and documentation.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships to ensure that credit facilities and accounts are operating satisfactorily. This will involve acting as the client's primary relationship manager, utilizing the financial planning process to develop an in-depth understanding of the client's needs, and maintaining SPCG service standards regarding proactive contact, and maintaining the client contact database.
Requirements:- Minimum 5 years of commercial lending or small business banking experience
- Established network of High Net Worth clients in the Canadian Banking industry
- University degree (BComm, MBA, CFA), in addition to industry courses (eg. CSC, PFP, CFP) is an asset
