We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Island Health. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree from an accredited school of Speech Language Pathology and be registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical services to patients and clients, demonstrating clinical competence and working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Utilize sound judgment, tact, and empathy to foster good public relations and resolve conflicts.
- Develop and maintain good observation and assessment skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and possess the ability to teach and conduct presentations.
- Act as a resource person and physically and emotionally perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and issues.
- Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and other healthcare professionals.
