Cititec Talent has partnered with a leading global commodities firm to hire an expert Cloud Infrastructure Specialist. This role requires a skilled individual who can design, build and maintain robust cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Design and manage scalable, reliable and high-performance cloud infrastructure on AWS for commodities trading platforms.
  • Implement Automation: Automate provisioning, configuration and deployment of cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.
  • Optimize CI/CD Workflows: Design, implement and optimize continuous integration and delivery workflows to accelerate software delivery while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Trading Teams: Collaborate with trading teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of trading applications into the production environment.
  • Monitor System Performance: Monitor system performance, diagnose issues and apply corrective measures to maintain efficient operations.
  • Stay Informed on AWS Technologies: Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in AWS technologies and best practices relevant to the commodities trading sector.
  • Contribute to DevOps Standards: Contribute to refining internal DevOps standards and ensure consistency in operational practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
  • Proven experience in architecting and managing AWS infrastructure, ideally within financial services or commodities trading.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation for infrastructure management.
  • Practical knowledge of CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or CircleCI.
  • Understanding of networking, security protocols and compliance standards specific to the financial services industry.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with serverless computing platforms like AWS Lambda.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools like CloudWatch, Datadog or New Relic.
  • Knowledge of commodities trading systems and relevant data integration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD workflows and DevOps principles. They should be able to work collaboratively with trading teams to deliver high-quality solutions. A competitive salary range is $120k - $145k CAD + bonus, depending on experience.
