**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our line assembly departments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are achieved.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Ensure the line assemblies areas adhere to all safety, health, and environmental requirements.

- Lead Production Superintendents and Cell Leader teams to achieve safety goals, first-time quality, and on-time delivery of assemblies for internal and external customers.

- Manage capacity and adjust facility staffing and equipment levels to achieve desired KPIs.

- Develop and manage departmental expense budgets for all line assembly departments.

- Review budget results with owners monthly to identify deviations and implement corrective actions.

- Promote and develop labor relations with Bargaining Unit representatives to resolve issues at the earliest stages of the Grievance Process.

- Establish Superintendents' MBOs annually to ensure goals and targets are measurable.

- Assist and support language for negotiations of the collective bargaining agreement.

- Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient and effective production.

- Develop and implement plans to meet production goals and deadlines.

- Schedule and coordinate production activities to ensure maximum efficiency and building in station.

- Maintain consistent communication with US finishing plant leadership to meet line entry schedule, delivery schedule, product quality, work-in-progress (WIP), and customer expectation.

**Requirements**

- Post-secondary education in a related discipline in operations management or equivalent experience.

- At least 10 years' previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Superior interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

- Ability to prepare reports and report out.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor others and work well under pressure.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and knowledge of Oracle would be an asset.

- Experienced with Lean manufacturing considered an asset.

- Prior experience working with a unionized workforce considered an asset.
