Job Summary:

Matrix Labour Leasing Ltd is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, repair, and replace a variety of systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• Repair and replace components for entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• Provide technical support in the field of servicing mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Participate in and adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Certified HVAC journeyperson and member of Local 516.
• 3-5 years of experience as a qualified HVAC technician.
• Provincial Safety Authority Gas Ticket (an asset).
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• The capability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion/meet deadlines.
• A Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's abstract (an asset).

Preferred Skills:

• Accurately preparing work estimates.
• Effectively interpreting and utilizing blueprints.
• Proficiently installing and calibrating controls, including wiring.
• Ensuring precise measurement and installation of refrigeration or air conditioning components.
• Thoroughly testing systems for leaks and functionality.
• Adhering to legislative requirements, maintaining detailed documentation.
