Palmer Toronto is seeking an Environmental Scientist with expertise in ecology to join our team of professionals working on multi-disciplinary projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, biology, ecology or geography, and 5+ years of experience in the areas of ecology, biology, plant science or other related environmental disciplines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing project background reviews, field investigations, data compilation and analysis, and report writing. They will also collect field data and observations, complete tree inventory and protection plans, and contribute to restoration plans. Additionally, they will review and summarize environmental policies and legislation, work collaboratively with the project team, and manage project budgets and scheduling.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, experience working with multi-disciplinary teams, and the ability to work independently without supervision. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science/management, biology, ecology or geography is required, as well as ecological land classification and/or Ontario wetland evaluation system certification or demonstrated experience.

This position will be primarily working from home with the flexibility to work from other Palmer offices if desired. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with level of education and industry experience, estimated to be between $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
