Job Summary
We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Living Water Officer. This role will be responsible for implementing our Living Water Program in Malawi, following established standards and procedures. The successful candidate will reside within Lilongwe and travel to remote locations within Malawi to support the implementation of Living Water at all levels and assist with other Community Development Activities.

Key Responsibilities
The Living Water Officer will have the following key responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong Christian witness and model servant leadership to colleagues, partners, the communities we serve, and the public.
- Develop activity budgets and work plans in liaison with the Community Development Coordinator.
- Organize and conduct Living Water training programs for Water Mission Malawi staff, WASH Actors, Pastors, and other religious leaders of different denominations.
- Organize and implement activities to share the gospel in communities, hospitals, and schools.
- Mobilize and assist local Churches in integrating holistic ministry into their theology and life.
- Network and collaborate with faith-based NGOs, Churches, and other religious groups.
- Mobilize church leaders/communities to support the implementation and sustainability of Safe Water Projects.
- Implement community development aspects of projects according to Water Mission standards when required.
- Compile and submit prayer ripples to the Head office on a weekly basis.
- Ensure that financial requests and reconciliations for activities are presented promptly.
- Make periodic field activity reports and photos.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Theology, Christian Education, Religious Studies, Divinity, or any other related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in coordinating missions, evangelism, discipleship programs, and working with churches.
- Experience in cross-cultural work, church structures, and building inter-church coalitions with a strong understanding of local culture.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is $45,000 per year, with the opportunity for yearly contractual renewals. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
