Additionally, you will research and prepare tax-planning strategies for clients and take the lead on the preparation of tax returns. The ideal candidate will have excellent people management skills and be highly motivated with a desire for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading client engagements and working closely with Partners on tax planning initiatives.
  • Directing the work of junior staff and reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Researching and preparing tax-planning strategies for clients.
  • Preparing tax returns and conducting and presenting tax research.
  • Providing ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff.
  • Working with other office members to attract new work to the firm.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years specializing in tax in a public accounting firm.
  • Professional accounting designation or equivalent.
  • Completed, or nearly completed, the CPA In-Depth Tax Course.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Highly motivated individual with a desire for growth.
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand clients' businesses.
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism in the performance of duties.
  • Emphasis on quality and adding value in client offerings and services.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities.
  • Ability to give others the opportunity to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to instill enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results.
