The Greater Victoria School District #61 is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Educational Assistants. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, promoting inclusivity, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with diverse needs, including those with special requirements
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment
  • Provide individualized support to students, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • One (1) year Education Assistant or Community Support Worker certificate or equivalent combination of post-secondary courses
  • Experience working with vulnerable children
  • First Aid and CPR certified, or willingness to get certified
  • Ability to commit to a three-week training program
