Job Title: Swamper - Truck Transport

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Swamper - Truck Transport to join our team at Western Canada Transport Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting tools and equipment on push or hand cars, assisting trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles, and performing labouring duties in warehouses. Additionally, they will provide customer service and support to newcomers and refugees, offering on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Transport tools and equipment on push or hand cars
  • Assist trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles
  • Perform labouring duties in warehouses
  • Provide customer service
  • Support newcomers and refugees with diversity and cross-cultural training
  • Offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities to youth
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for visible minorities
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a warehouse environment with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. They will also be required to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
